The HQ Monaro replaced the HG Monaro with a completely new body design but still maintained the Monaro’s distinctive head turning coupe shape. GTS Monaros represented the peak of performance & could be optioned with the choice of 2 locally made V8s or the more powerful 350 Chev V8.
